Eventually you're going to end up with something you like. I might be going overboard, but I think that evil Yori's light skin tone is sticking out too much, so I'm going to create a Hue layer to blend all the colors together a little more.

Create a new layer, and name it Hue. Now select a light color and dark color to use in a gradient. You've already put a slight gradient in the background, but this one is going to vary from light to dark a little more dramatically. I picked a peach color and a dark purple.

Drag your gradient from the location of your light source to the corner farthest from.

Hopefully you'll get something along the lines of this. Although I find that I don't like the colors altered to this extent. It's a bit too purple for my tastes, as well as evil Yori's, for that matter.

I still like the overall gradient effect that I've created, so, in my layers palette, I turn down the hue layer's opacity to 44%.

And viola! you now have a basic cell shaded image. I'll go into added levels of detail and photoshop techniques in future tutorials, so stay tuned!
